Alltså, vilket flyt vi har. Nästan allt på vår resa har klaffat så bra. Så även idag. Vi vaknade alltså på ett riktigt sunkigt hotell i Tagbilaran och så sent som i morse visste vi inte var vi skulle ta vägen idag. Vi hade en lös plan att åka till den lilla miniön Pamilacan, men …

Mit den Mopeds sind die Sicherheitsvorschriften nicht anders. 4-5 Leute passen da schon auf ein Moped! Ganze Familien fahren so rum - das ganze natuerlich ohne Helme.
Asien ist halt eine ganz eigene Welt - uns gefaellt es :)
Weiter geht die Reise mit dem Boot nach Siquijor - die Hexeninsel, wie sie von den Einheimischen genannt ...

On the way back to the ferry, we drove through the Man-Mad-Forest which provided some great shade and coolness. The area of 800 hectares was planted in 1960 with mahogany trees by university students - given it the Man-made name. We made a quick stop at the Baclayon Church, the oldest in all of the Philippines, but it was closed. I took a few photos from the exterior, but.... Just ...

The Longest Day in Many Ways
Hi Everyone,
Saturday Jenn, Erica, and I spent the entire day and night in Bohol, an island in the same region of the Philippines as Tacloban but about 3 hours away by plane/ferry. The island is so beautiful and widely known for its ecological variety. My friend Eugene, the previous VFV volunteer coordinator, was nice enough to help set up our tour through a friend as well as our accommodation. We are forever thankful for all his help, because our day was perfect!

Beautiful, calm with not many guests since they only have three rooms. Very familiar staff and the owners are just great. Love this place.
