... off course no one accepted and than they start to pick up more and more people until you're squished like a sardine :-( anyway the only advantage was that we had airco, we arrived in about the same time as the bus, 4:30 instead of 5 hours. The road from Maya beach is real pretty though and the scenery impressive driving through hills of fantastic vegetation, palm trees and banana plantations. Don't ask about their driving capabilities, 'cause they have non and we sometimes ...

... on Facebook about it. So lucky I didn't get myself up at 2.20am for the 6 hour round trip then! But also a bit of a shame. Whalesharks and me, we're just not meant to be. --------- So to a day in Cebu where EVERYTHING is closed. This is fun. At least the wifi works. --------- Easter in the Philippines is a serious religious event. There's no Easter bunnies, no eggs and certainly no egg hunts! There are church services happening all over the city and everything is ...

... For fun I assume. The area we are in is called Colon. Everywhere in the world should follow this naming convention. Moss Side in Manchester would become 'Anus' etc.
We eventually hail a taxi to take us to uptown Cebu. We have no idea where we want to stay and end up in an ok looking area of the city wandering the streets. A friendly student helps us out and points us to the Shamrock. It's way overpriced and has no internet but it's an ok room ...
