Today we awoke, after our night with Elizabeth, with no electricity and no water. We still were able to have breakfast though because of a generator. At breakfast an iguana, a rather large one too, came walking up to our table. His close proximity made me excited at first. Photo op! But the longer he stayed and the closer he came I became suspicious. Every other iguana we had seen had at best froze for a second before scurrying ...

Her husband is also appearing on a cruise ship somewhere this week; he is Mark Preston who joined The Lettermen in 1984, left in 1988, rejoined in 2006 and left for a solo gig in 2011. I asked her if they ever perform together. She said their voices blended beautifully but that her man preferred to perform alone. His loss, I'd say.

Was 37 degrees today in Costa Rica. Water is flat as a pancake up the Mexican Riviera. Just off the coast of Nicaragua right now, and have our first Mexican stop-over tomorrow – Puerto Chiapas. We’re going to a juggling workshop today – a rare foray into the Hi de Hi world onboard. We’ve been more than happy just doing our own thing.
