I was slightly apprehensive about being so 'remote'. We had both been to the information board upon arrival, and were a little alarmed that we were now reading 'Cougar' warnings as well as bear! I was secretly glad Becky had made us go in to a hunting shop in Campbell River to buy a canister of bear repellent - I considered that this may also repel a cougar if needed...either that or I could spray Becky with it ...
