This was our last day in the Lake District. The wind was blowing strongly and the low cloud that has been here for the last three days had lifted. Would we be able to see the volcano? No! ... warm. On it’s own, if you like big new world Sauvignon Blanc good but at 25 euro, a little overpriced for where else you could go. With the tuna tartar – excellent! The rich taste of the fine local tuna combined with a fix of cellantro/coriander was punchy but the wine was up to this and the heat was now negligible. Good start.
