... so no pics will do it justice (I took video though). So instead of a snow pic, I have attached a special photo I took today at the zoo.
Then after that excitement I got the funicular up to the fortress and my battery died after 3 photos so they are not very good but it was worth it to get a video of the Pumas.
Now am hoping for some sun tomorrow which is my last day in Salzburg. I wanna see those magnificent mountains.
... it snowed! It was only tiny flakes blowing in the wind and but it went on for a couple of hours and I was ridiculously excited, having pictured Salzburg in the snow for months! It didn't stick but it was still pretty magical to have it fluttering around me as I walked along the Monnschberg ridge above the old town. Although no snow, I'm almost as excited about the prospect of seeing some sun tomorrow, as I have not seen one bit of sun since I left Sydney. The last tiny patch of blue sky I saw poking through clouds was in London, but haven't seen the orb since I left home. I'm doing the touristy places tomorrow so hopefully I will have some amazing views ahead of me.
... there was only one Hertz person there, and there was an older couple ahead of us taking forever to decide on insurance options. Plus, the Hertz person had to go get the car and then drive it over for them to pick it up. But at least they had some seats while we were waiting!
