      With an early start from Munich, we boarded a train to Salzburg, Austria. Although it was drizzling, we were able to make the most of the day and explore this beautiful city. With the train station being a few miles from the heart of the city, we were able to stroll along the Salzach River and explore many of the local vendors along the river.

      ... to the old town which was very nice. Next stop, the fortress! Whit, Todd and I found our way in our soaking wet squishy sneakers to the fortress where we took a funicular up to the top. We went on a tour and learned about the fortress, which was commissioned and built by bishops for protection of Salzburg.
