Weekend in Veracruz
... on hold now for a few weeks as we have the next lot of “partials” coming up. But I think the idea is to escape the weekend they finish which will be at the end of the month. There is a lovely looking place next to Acapulco but it seems quite hard to find decent hotels there so we may end up in Acapulco…..not ideal but as it is just a weekend escape I guess I will cope! ...

... end of the day, which was 5 pm. I was still energetic, so visited the Mexico Verde tent outdoors, to scale one of Mexico's tallest mobile climbing wall.
Tonight there was to be another cocktail party in the grounds of a museum but no dinner. So I picked up my dinner at Carl's Jr. And then spent the time on Skype with family, packing and doing work (having been away from office for 2 weeks). Heard the cocktail venue was very hot, something I dread.

Activities On Lake Catemaco
... island, we saw birds along the shore, including vultures and herons. It was a 3 km paddle. We landed, fed the mosquitoes, then paddled around the island of 21 acres. This was when we saw more birds, the resident howler monkeys, as well as fishermen both above water, and below, diving for snails.

Fin de Semana en Veracruz y Boca del Rio /
... comí una "barra de ensaladas" que son ensaladas ya hechas pero puedes pedir todas las que quieras por $80.00, siendo vegetariana es difícil encontrar comida en un puerto así que si se dan la vuelta se los recomiendo bastante.
Al finalizar mi comida, tomé un taxi a Boca del Rio para hacer check-in al hotel y no regresé al Puerto hasta 2 días después para comer en el mercado y tomar el vuelo de regreso a casa.
