We arranged a tuctuc to Hikkidua and began our journey as we normally did, Nai and Annie's backpacks in the 'boot' and mine across our laps. It wasn't far to Hikkidua, and we witnessed an accident on route. Upon arrival, we looked at two places which ended up being slightly beyond our price range. We thanked and paid the tuctuc ...

By bus again and working our way North West towards Colombo we stopped in another small beach town called Hikkaduwa. The town was really nice, full of restaurants and cafes and a nice beach.

We stayed 2 nights in a budget hotel called Finlanka a short walk from the main road and beach front. When we arrived we were shown our room but it was still being cleaned so we ventured to the beach and sat in a café for a short while until it was ready.

... their new adventure - sea adventure. They are usually being kept for 2 days and when they are stronger they are put back to the wild. We have seen also turtles saved from fishing nets and other sea turtles species. I was able to handle these small turtle babies. It was very nice and strong experience.

We continued our journey trying to find the bird sanctuary but we did not have luck, however we saw a fruit bat hanging ...

... but it's ok Emily just had a wee cough and the host mumma wanted to make sure she was ok! We went to a turtle hatchery at the weekend and a beach and it was so beautiful. Today we went to Galle fort it's my favourite place! We saw a turtle in the water today too :-) We adventured onto a local bus this weekend too, it was an experience anyway! They have massive speakers on the bus so you can ...
