So after a very late night last night it was up early today to head out for a 9 1/2 hour excursion. We were headed to the spa town of Karlovy Vary- about 20 kilometers from the German border. This is a beautiful Spa town . The hotels are spectacular , perched on cliffs .painted in beautiful colours Most were built 1880 when taking the waters was popular , but has been a spa town for hundreds of years .
There are many fountains of hot water for people to drink . They recommend that you use a teapot shaped cup to sip the water as you walk slowly .
They eh all looked silly , but the cup vendors happy .

The town square was eerily deserted on a Sunday afternoon, however we did manage to find a nice pizza and pasta place for lunch to finish off what was a great weekend escaping the city and enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings of Bohemia.
So I went to Karlovy Vary, a town 2 hours away north west from Prague, with an organized tour from our university.
They said it was a Spa-Town. So what did I bring logicly?! Yes, I brought my bathing suit...
Freaking town with hot springs is not at all what I imagined. They have these water fountains that serve hot water from the springs for all to drink, enjoy and be cured of whatever illness you have.
