... the beach. The beach was covered by these strange, chair-like structures which we soon realized are mini beach 'homes’ that can be rented for the day. They provide space for two to sit, a cover to provide shade and a lock to keep valuables safe while you swim. We didn’t rent one (though they were very popular with the locals) but will know next time to be ready to rent and make use of one.

... Celeriac Cream & Double Duck Consumme with Duck Brioche, Seared Diver Scallops, Slow Roasted Veal Tenderloin, Caramelized Pear over Nougat Montelimar Parfait. I’ve never eaten Salmon before and may never again, but I did (as I had committed to doing), finish it off. The duck was amazing…not at all what I’d expected…and a favourite of most of us.

... today was still warm and muggy with a high near 80°. We got a little bit of rain in the morning while touring Warnemünde but about 5:30 after we got back to the ship it poured for about 30 minutes.

Our tour today was with Friends of Dave Tours based here in Warnemünde. Our guide Adreas, age 45, was born and raised in Warnemünde and except for working 3 ½ years as an au pier in Michigan, he has lived in Warnemünde all his life. He now has a small 500 sq. ft. ...

We've just spent two days at sea. We slept for 14 horus a day, ate pizza for eight hours a day and the rest of our time was spent poopin' or taking photos of the ocean. I guess this is what holidays are all about.

We deleted all of the 'at sea' photos - we never want to be reminded of that time again. The attached photos are general left-overs from other places we've visited.

... and dinner. Just out of interest the boat has literally a handful of native English speaking people, with the vast majority speaking German. Whenever they make an announcement it German 1st, then English, French and Italian. Man they can speak fast. We then congregated in the theatre to hear the personal greeting by the captain. Not very inspiring. Neither was the 1/2 hour show they put on. We all agree that we have been spoilt ...
