Wanted to go for a walk down to the port by the 588 steps and possibly catch a donkey ride back up again. When I reached the steps I saw lots of donkeys and tried to speak to the donkey man about my idea but communication did not happen very easily - so ended up having a donkey ride only 1/2 ...
... and hotels on the beach and they were all pretty dead. We weren't sure if it was the season, time of day (late after noon and not quite time for dinner) or the light rains that were making things so quiet, but I can only imagine that they'd all be packed come mid June or July.
