We toured around the island complex until we reached the center of the volcanic crater, Nea Kameni (new burned Earth).       Wanted to go for a walk down to the port by the 588 steps and possibly catch a donkey ride back up again. When I reached the steps I saw lots of donkeys and tried to speak to the donkey man about my idea but communication did not happen very easily - so ended up having a donkey ride only 1/2 ...

      ... and hotels on the beach and they were all pretty dead. We weren't sure if it was the season, time of day (late after noon and not quite time for dinner) or the light rains that were making things so quiet, but I can only imagine that they'd all be packed come mid June or July.

      Not much for pictures to post yet, but we have an all day excursion booked for tomorrow which should bring us tons of great shots.

      ... like to add! His handsomeness added to my nervousness. My mom walked me down the isle and brought me to my almost husband. In Greece it is tradition for the groom to hold the brides bouquet, so Sean did just that and presented me my bouquet on my arrival with a nervous smile himself.
