My French friend was at a complete loss as to what to do as he was heading to Puerto Galera in the north of Mindoro so I offered to help him and off we went to the public meter taxi stand outside the terminal 3 building at NAIA.

... higher note, I am grateful for the people I have met her in Manila and will miss them when I leave in a few days. They were gracious, joyful hosts, without whom my stay would have felt much longer and without whom I most certainly wouldn't have embarrassed myself in a karaoke bar eating the fried constitution of a barn swine. Friends, indeed.

... on October 20, 1944 at Leyte as I had visited on Wednesday.

The entire day was spent on a guided tour of the island which was well done. I'll show you the tour in photos. You can read the details in history books. It's a monument to the senselessness of war and the havoc it wreaks on people's lives and underscored the biblical phrase in Isaiah and Romans "The way of peace they know not."

... in Wilson for a nice cup of tea. My JJ was there too! I told him to come so we'd have to spend the night together. I had a large cup of Mango Yakult (my Serenitea favorite) and a couple of plates of Chicken Chops. We then went to walk around to burn down those calories, and afterwards went home. Day 23

Arrived at Manila Airport for the 3rd time (just been there for connection flights earlier on the trip)
at 11am, took a free shuttle bus to some mall just a few minutes away. Went to McDonalds for the first time in the Philippines :) Was an alright change from chicken and rice :)
