Brilliant Hotel just outside the old city

Reviewed Jun 8, 2012
by (58 reviews) Melbourne , Australia Flag of Australia

This new boutique hotel is situated just a short walking distance outside the Old City. The streetscape is unappealing but the building is modern, secure and well appointed. Breakfast, wi-fi and secure parking are included in tarriff. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Cannot go wrong with this accommodation.

... in these caves, we're having a look tomorrow! Had the ritual shower & clothes wash, went for a walk then had dinner in the hotel. The meals were giant sized, I took a photo of the meals but took a blurry photo so you won't get to see the gigantic meals. But you can see my desert! Well, that wraps it up for today, a report tomorrow on the cave tour! And we have another long ride tomorrow, 60 kms coming ...

... Italian restaurant in the pouring rain, it threatened rain all day but luckily we got here before the sky's opened up. It's stopped raining now and I suspect will be fine tomorrow for our ride. Unfortunately the filthy habit of smoking is entrenched in the Czech Republic as well, every young person seems to be smoking away madly while drinking or eating or just talking! And they allow smoking in some restaurants and bars as ...

... and off on the right road (too many instructions). It was going to be a long ride today, 77kms to Mikulov. Anyway, once out on the road on our bikes it was pleasant cycling through the lower Austrian region of farmland, slightly undulating hills but nothing too hard. Tomas suggested we have lunch in Ernstbrunn, I know why! PM - We had lunch there (courtesy Austria Hotel) then it happened! We went up, and up, a 12% gradient for about ...

... we were in another country and I didn't have any credit, therefore I couldn't receive calls either. So em was trying to call us but we couldn't receive anything. We ended up borrowing a phone in the fruit shop to make a call as we couldn't even work out the pay phones. Everything was fine in the end, she was running late, same as us and we met up at 4.15 and raced to the bus stop to catch our bus which left at 4.45pm. The time was 4.30pm and I went to look for change in my wallet to ...

... triangle of Milukov, Lednice and Valtice, and just bike all over the place. It’s totally flat and all vineyards, so lots of wine-tasting possible. The
castles/chateaux are very nice and have lovely grounds that they call gardens but are really fields full of wild flowers and gorgeous oak trees. Most palaces/castles have metamorphosed from medieval seats of power to 19th century seats of power, with the ...
