good enough motel close enough to hollywood boulevard

This motel is clean, pretty cheap and walking distance to the walk of Fame/Chinese Theater and only a ten minute drive from Universal. If you, like us, only came to sleep, go to Universal and take a quick peek at the walk of Fame, this is the hotel for you. The motel owner was kinda friendly and had a deal with a parking lot a few minute walk from the motel where we could park for $10 a day. The neighborhood didn't feel too safe, but then again, neither did any other part of Hollywood.
If you have a longer stay in Los Angeles, I advise you not to stay in Hollywood. Apart from the walk of fame (not impressive) and the Chinese theater, there is nothing to see. Stay downtown, or in Santa Monica, and drive to Hollywood for a few hours.

Day 7 is here an my journey is coming to an end, this is my second last day in the US and I am sadly leaving tomorrow. I woke up early at around 7:00am, got up with the sun glaring in my face. I had a shower and then put some clothes on. I grabbed my surfboard and took the elevator downstairs to the lobby where the breakfast buffet was. I opened the door of the buffet and helped myself to some ...

... We limped to the bus station at the end of the day, thoroughly worn out but full of memories, cameras full of photos, still wobbling a bit from the many rollercoaster rides and ready to hit the sack. These two days have been so full of fun and laughs, and it was great to be able to spend it together with beautiful weather and enjoying the health and blessings God has given us! Thinking of you all.

One thing is sure: we certainly got our money's worth out of our tickets!

... Air BnB. Air BnB, for those who don't know, is an app which links people who need rooms to stay, with people who have free rooms. The guy we stayed with had a room mate who was constantly absent, so we had the free room which had an en-suite and the apartment had a lovely balcony.

It was also opposite a really good and fairly reasonably priced burger place, called pono burger, with super organic meat and lovely sweet potato fries. We then walked to the ...

Later that arvo we headed into Hollywood to check off the hollywood stars and get a good view of the Hollywood sign. We bustled through all the crazy street people and 100000 different 'Johnny Depps' and did a spot of shopping, ours credit cards taking a serious hit in Sephora and Victorias Secret..
