Lovely little place where Columbus stopped for water on his voyages. Went for a walk and found a bar with wifi. When we got back to the ship we had a very late lunch at about 2.15. Didn't bother with a sweet as afternoon tea started at 2.30 so had a tea cake and cakes instead. In the evening went to the dancing after champagne at the jewellery store. We'd got an invite but didn't buy anything. Then late night ...

Today was our final biking so it started early at 8am. The tour of the ocean and banana plantations was amazing. This island continues to try and make a profit thru bananas but the competition is tough. The route was 11.5 miles with winding, rolling roads all along the sea. We got back to turn everything in and begin our wind down. Our last lunch was at the pool in beautiful sunny ...

Dinner was in the hotel banquet room featuring delicious watercress soup, cod, pork and chocolate. To top the evening off Billie had composed a fantastic song to the jingle bell tune. The group has been a great one and everyone headed to bed very happy ready for our last ride in the ...

... ride close to the top. Our lunch stop was in a hotel in the middle of the park and featured a full buffet of salads and meats. Leaving the lunch stop the road is very very rough. It was like being bounced downhill for several miserable miles. While I was biking along due to the amount of bumping my bike bag fell off my seat and landed on the back wheel. It was a lot like having the brakes dragging you to a stop. I managed to pull over and ...

... first - it's hot but you don't feel like you're roasting because of the very strong wind.
At least that's what was important for me. I don't really like when it's too hot.
I am more of a mountain person - oh yeah El Teide.
Another great thing about Tenerife - you will find everything there; wavy sea - great for surfers;, lots of sun - amazing for beach lovers; desert areas; beautiful, green woods; ...
