    ... and their historical society has done a wonderful job of marking sites, but I find it loud and busy for a small town. The park area we are in however is very peaceful.... all we here are ducks and blue jays. We will move on to Lock # 5 in a day or so where we are told we can dock overnight in a pretty park, and then on to Mechanicville at Lock #3. ...

    ... but via Route 7A still. Here we took a side trip to see Abraham Lincoln's son's, Robert Lincoln, family home - well preserved and well run, offering a viewing of his family home with its original furnishings. It had a sort of homely feel to it, not overly sophisticated.
