... getting my feet back down on earth I can look back at an amazing 6 months. As a whole it seems to have flown by but when I look at the maps and the diary at the detail, for example when I cycled into Bordeaux, it seems an awful long time ago.

... hotel that does not open on Sunday. We took the car along to the depot and found that there was a box on the side of the building where keys could be left if the office was not open. We were just about to leave the car and keys when two men came out of the office - they were doing a bit of extra work and saw us and we were able to hand the keys over to them and they put the car away. Phew!!!!
Tomorrow morning we catch the train back to London.

On Friday morning we left Cardiff to travel to Plymouth where we will spend 3 nights. Most of the journey was on the motorway and the traffic was not very heavy. We were happy that we were travelling south, rather than north, as the northbound traffic was very, very heavy and very slow for at least 30 miles. ... and loaded with sheep. Sometimes things work out for the best--- the bus stop in Holsworthy is in front of the library. It wasn't open yet, so I had a nice lunch across the street. Also across the street is the church. The bells have been ringing off and on since I got here. (My welcome???) Princess Anne is in town to celebrate the opening of a new cattle market. A lovely library that needs more space. Looks like I will be able to look at larger sizes of my photos here. ...
