I now leave Clitheroe and move on a few miles to a tiny, but beautiful village at the edge of the Forest of Bowland (not a forest any more but some rather spectacular moors). ... and we had a second stop there. Again it was very busy with loads of tourists and their big camera's. We like Bowness as it has a number of shops both independent and chain and the narrow streets and Lakeland architecture is very pleasing to the eye.
