After the big day on Friday we had a nice lazy start to the day and so decided to get in the car and go to Brighton for the afternoon. To be fair the day was grey with rain threatening, Brighton looked unappealing and was absolutely bustling with people.
We do we now appreciate our beaches even more than we did before, Peebles instead of sand, dirty green water and no surf. We agreed that we are really spoilt in NZ.

... weather never lets me have the best of it. I think the Cornish tourist board would ban me if they could, I always bring not horrible, but bloody awful, weather with me.
It turned really nasty just as we parked up, I'm actually considering strapping the bike down it's so bad, it's so exposed here.

... come back after some embarrassing dancing and carry on drinking. But jonny bundled mike ds uncle bill and got everyone chucked out for the noise so we went to bed. Day two - today we had a boat trip to see the sea lions. Me and jonny we're both hungover and tired but we had a nice day. We wernt sure whether to jump in or not cause it was freezing but we did and we were about a metre away from the sea lions they were so noisy ...
... the answer "Awesome!" Grand Canyon or those giant sequoias yes, scrambled egg, no. Am I glad to be back? Yes. I have had a really wonderful time, thoroughly enjoyed it and thank you for coming with me, but it is nice to be home... at least for a while... Oh, and that watch thing for jet lag? Yep, so far it has worked a treat... ... now if I could only find my bank cards and purse, which I put somewhere sensible and obvious before I went away, I'd be cooking with ...
... as far as the eye can see. The shop is a bit of an antique/second hand shop that has an array of very interesting trinkets as well as some pretty good stuff. Hannah found a full leather hand bag for what I am told is "a steal"... Anyway, it was time to say goodbye to Sarah who had to be back in Exeter for Friday morning, so we did that and then went to play pool and have dinner with Alice - another really nice evening!
