Before leaving Brixham which is a large seaside town with so many tourists, we drove to the harbour to see the replica of the Golden Hind which is the boat that Sir Walter Raleigh sailed in. Went through Paignton to Torquay, a more upmarket tourist town and saw the coloured cabanas on the beach which were there when I came there in 1961. Also so many yachts . Drove through Babbacombe on the outskirts of Torquay where there are lovely hotels ...

... I recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Went back to the flat and at sunset we decided to go for a walk to the nearby beach. Realised though that we would not be anywhere near a good sunset vantage point, so just went for a walk around the parkland and back to the flat. The sun doesn't set until after 10pm - quite disconcerting sometimes. Makes the day nice and long.
