    I am going to be well looked after- the induction programme looks pretty thorough....i have emailed this around to a few people who were asking....if you are interested let me know!

    ... meander our way past the Department of Homeland Security followed by customs. Jumped into a yellow cab, past the Manhattan toll and into midtown. Checked in to our hotel "The Manhattan at Times Square Hotel". Room looks good and is right on the edge of Time Square. Went for a short walk to take in the lights. Tired and weary we headed back to the hotel to crash. Being up for about 23 hours with only a couple of naps here and there has taken its toll. ...

    ... M23. The speed limit on the motorway is 70mph, so we sat on 65mph not tying to catch attention in the middle or inside lane, but those passing us on the outside we're going at least 80 - 100mph. Several times the pace slowed to 50, but then picked up again to 70, we seemed to be going for ever and we still hadn't got the GPS to work properly, so good old IPad map came out and saved the day..phew, just a couple more miles to the M23 About to 10 miles down the M23 ...

    ... it was beginning to feel rather heavy now and retracing our steps to a point where we had noted earlier that the grass beside the path was flattened, a good sign that twitchers had been around. On the way back to the car park Julie had spotted several Bee Orchids at the side of the path on the bank that were in marvellous condition. Although not particularly uncommon these fascinating plants are always nice to see.
