After slogging away at OSCE's and exams for the better part of two years, time is ripe for a sojourn to other climes. Who knew selecting and packing clothes would take longer and be almost as frustrating as said exams? Head torch? Got to have it. White lab coat? Of course. Enough pharmaceuticals to start a drugs racket? Mandatory. With all things ticked off an anally-retentively (is that a word?) organised packing list, I bid adieu to London and will update the blog on foreign ...

... Song Service at West Minister Abbey before returning back to the hotel. Tonight we went to the Troubadour for dinner and then downstairs to hear 3 bands (the Troubadour is where Bob Dylan, Adele, Amy Winehouse played). Sara has been working with us for 2 days on how to use the tube so we'll see how that ...

I have only seen the tour version of Les Miserables two years ago in Fort ...

... five times before I could finally use it properly), fairly complicated business, and being thrown straight into my teams busiest time of the year (budget). Anyway, I am loving it!! We had our work Xmas Party the other day which was really good fun. Hung out with my team, they go their faces painted (I "missed" out because I decided too late that I would join in and the people had packed up), but I did have a good neck and back massage from one of the ...

LIFT OFF AND NEAR DISASTER

... A380-800 is a giant carrying when full, and we were, around 550-600 passengers. Sitting 10 rows across the plane’s body the aisles seemed to run for ever. It was a proper aircraft with first, club/business and economy classes plus it had two levels. That said the level of comfort, attention from staff, food and entertainment were excellent.

I sat back for a near 7 hours trip of 3,410 miles and finally realized that I was on ...
