    Weather: Lovely, warm, sunny.
The plan for today was some preparation for Sue's birthday party here on Sunday afternoon. Sue's son Stuart came and helped put up 2 borrowed gazebos in the garden and set up tables in the conservatory. He was here for morning tea and a relaxing lunch. After Stuart left we two girls, with dog Dove went for a short drive to Boddington Reservoir to walk around it, which took about an hour. This reservoir is ...

Clean and keen. That's the way I set off but the third picture is taken at the crest of the obligatory morning 'ascent' and you can see that fresh face has been replaced by my post hill look. Every morning starts the same but rest easy I wash my top (top singular for the walk), socks and undies and dry them overnight ready for an instant reply the next day. The tour of the palace is fascinating all by itself, but they also have an exhibit that compares John and Winston Churchill’s military careers, and a second exhibit on Winston Churchill’s life with lots of memorabilia. While Winston’s family did not live at Blenheim, he was born here and spent a lot of time visiting over the years. ...

... they were focused on relieving my fears, and checked everything and assured me that no one had been sent to the hospital! Feeling much better, I returned to see the rest of the show. When I finally saw Deb after the show, I gave her an enormous hug, and she had no idea why!
We did a bit more strolling and shopping (I got a cute shirt!), then returned to Chipping Campden on the bus. We had a few hours before our dinner reservation, so we did a Walk that I had found in ...

    Cutsie Cotswold Car Hiking

... Next was Stow-on-the-Wold, which means "meeting place on the uplands". It is the highest point of the Cotswolds and has good transport connections, an old inn dating back to 947AD, some old stocks in the square and a very slanty house - which is a listed building called the 'wonky house'. In the town square they used to bring and sell up to 20,000 sheep in a day! Hard to imagine now with all the cars parked, ruining the imagery. Whilst ...
