Got to Rak hotel again, luckily without breaking down this time. Got ushered to a different hotel next door which was the "same business". Tried to ask for a refund after the breaking down situation last time but they either couldn't understand us or claimed that they couldn't. Anyway we were eventually told the boss would ring our room... Still ...

The 17-hour train ride itself was uneventful, but come night time expect to have flying bunkmates.
