... too cold where every body part hurt so we called it quits early. We found out that Heavenly closed early too because of the conditions. Our plan was to take Jalen to see fireworks at Heavenly village on NYE but we cut the trip short and left NYE because of the horrible weather. It is way to cold, highs of 18. Jalen played a few minutes in the snow but not long because his face turned red. He really did enjoy the snow and kicking it and throwing it. He will have a blast in ...

We entered Sequoia National Forest and were greeted by a river and a bounty of trees. So much better than that crowded general store on a holiday weekend. We are now at nearly 11k ft. This elevation is tough considering all the extra pack weight we gained to handle the bears and mountains. The trees here truly are beautiful. A great inspiration.

Jason then took Lachlan and Hamish on their first chair lifts and longer runs. Both did really well and snow ploughing nicely. Even Caragh got herself back into the boots and did three more runs on beginner slope. She declared that her Xmas gift to Jason. Jason believes that might well be ...

Well true to form I let the fit do the heavy hiking while I had the showers...hot..pretty much to myself, walk down and sat on the jetty overlooking Lake Tahoe and spent an hour or so with postcards and the Internet catching up ...

Jalen's 1st trip to Tahoe- Worst trip

Jalen's 1st trip to tahoe was horrible. We went through a timeshare offer and the resort was so bad we left 1 day early! We saw our presentation which was horrible experience and checked out early. The room was small, dingy and so outdated. No AC as well and it was hot. We went to the Lake which was nice and Jalen dipped his feet in for the 1st time. He wasn't a fan because it was too cold. ...
