    Left Gavin's around 10.30am. So hard to leave. Gas in Minden. Spent hours in Historic Virginia City. Wish I could post pics on this iPhone cause words don't do it justice. Found a Best Western in Fernley and stayed there a night Bought another gps from Walmart as the other one wasn't recognizing towns. Long drive Wed morn 8 hours solid driving thru countryside that hardly changes Hope to stay in Salt Lake City tonight. Can someone please comment on this if they are getting ...

    ... Lake Tahoe. The hotel here was literally one foot on the Nevada border line. This town is unique because in a sense it is one town, but just on two separate states. The California side was full of ski resorts. The Nevada side had two casinos, which were not legal in California. It is really quite crazy to have a place like this that can draw a crowd year round.     ... 15 mins of the trip was nice...we all fell asleep after that... Our loft style cabin is pretty cool! We have a pool table, a hot tub & a steam room...and yes a fire!! We went for a walk to get some groceries & scout out the takeaway restaurants & for the boys to arrange ski hire & lift tickets. No skiing tomorrow as was planned as it is too windy & I think they are both mega tired..so it'll be a nice rest day tomorrow ...

    ... down that gave us a lighter and wished us well.
    We ended up walking 3 miles before setting up camp and realizing we were in black bear country with no rope. Did we want to sleep with our food? The question was answered for us, right on the edge of the campsite laid a big pile of bear poop. We dug a hole to hide the food and called it a night.
    I'm pretty tired after a long week of work. It's only 9 but I started falling asleep writing this.!
