... very curious about us and keep following us everywhere. We check in a cheap hotel for the night and go around for a walk to find some food. Something really odd happened. One of the locals must have heard us asking questions about the ferry timetable and assumed that we wanted to catch the very first one that day (5am), so around 4.30 we get a knock on our hotel telling us "wake up, wake up! It seems that today we made too little progress. The biggest problem here is that the bus system and ferry system do not communicate with each other. As a result, you get to a town where you want to catch the ferry, it is still reasonable early, but the last ferry is gone. It is a bit frustrating but we will have to spend the night here and wait for the ferry in the morning.
Again, San Carlos is not really a destination although it is nicer than Iloilo. The locals ...

Inasal chicken is one quarter of a chicken (either leg and thigh or breast and wing) roasted with special spices on a wooden skewer and served with rice.
