... they were doing some work to it.. There was no one on it other than the workers and it looked like an old unused resort beach that was probably busy in its prime. It was nice to walk around and again swim in the sea. When we got back to the boat Scott pulled out a gorgeous birthday cake and we all sang happy birthday, it tasted just as good as it looked! We were very civilised and tucked in with plastic spoons.. When we had all had enough and also given the driver a large ...

... the mounting of the kayak was a challenge for the Plumwhats but the water gods were looking down on us so we were spared a dunking (only just though). Perfect way to end a perfect day!

... our expectations and the photos will not do the amazing landscape justice. We had a great lunch on the boat with a lovely bunch of fellow tourists, the weather was fine and we kayaked through rock tunnels and swam on the beach at the Monkey Island (with quite hostile monkeys stealing stuff from tourists). At the end of the trip our group all agreed to meet up later for dinner and drinks so we had a great end to a great day and Ha Long Bay became our favourite place ...
