    ... maybe don't see things as they do or understand their intentions fully. We must realise that each action comes with a history and a background and a set of values. This doesn't mean tolerating what is wrong but taking time to understand, then responding. Patience allows for understanding, and that for respect and trust to build. And this is part of truly loving people! And it's hard!

    It's my second day in Australia, and compared to snowy Chicago, my god it is hot. I've walked around campus a bit, and it's pretty similar to being at ISU, maybe a bit more spread out, but other than that, pretty similar. I've been to the mall and grocery store, luckily there is a free bus that goes there and back from campus.
