    • Its OK dropping off the grid and living a simpler life until you don't check the weather forecast and a hurricane blows through your campsite! I woke at 1am this morning to some very strange noises. When I put my head out of the door I found it was absolutely lashing it down and blowing 50mph winds.     The storms started at about 11pm last night with a viscious northerly wind and lashings of rain. It was quite fortuitous in a way as the noisy people drinking outside the hotel were chased away by it. However there were three flagpoles outside and the wind made the ropes bang against the flagpole for most of the night.
