... the temperatures stayed at around 22 all night long there was no need for a sleeping bag let alone a swag. So the night was long and I can't say enjoyable experience. Our guide put on the full flood lights on at 3:45am for breakfast because we were off to see sunrise!! We were exhausted but to my surprise I discovered when packing away my swag that I had been sleeping within 10cm of a huntsman spider. He happily jumped into my swag for shelter.

The train journey from Coffs Harbour to Sydney Central took nearly nine hours but it was a very civilised way of travelling. It's a slow old train but it winds its way down Coffs Coast and we enjoyed the countryside which is similar to the green pastures of England - on an enormous scale!
