    ... grandmother Eliza ( aged 3 at the time). Some of Mary(Burt) his wife's family also probably worked there too.
    We had an enjoyable few hours in the Gardens before the next part of our journey, Tisbury, another town pertinent to the Burt family especially the now Boot Inn, a 17th century pub where one of Mary's brothers was brought to trial during the "Swing Riots" & then sent to Australia ...

    Early start this morning, on the road by half past seven. Traffic was really heavy for the first half hour after leaving Poole. We arrived at Stonehenge a little after nine. After grabbing some breakfast in the coffee shop we headed into the exhibition hall before catching the bus out to the Stonehenge rock formation.     ... from down under, and soon Suz and I were shown to our rooms which had now been upgraded to a suite. Marvellous what "G'day, how ya goin" can get you in this country. We planned to take a little walk into the centre of the town, but the rain stated bucketing down so we made a hasty retreat to our room for an afternoon drink, and then headed out for a pizza later after the rain had stopped.
