What a fabulous day fishing, Paul took us to Waterloo farm, such a beautiful pond and country side. We had a delicious English breakfast and I got to try Black Pudding for the first time. So many huge Carp teasing us all day, till finally we got the catch of the day :) I got the pleasure of pulling it in. We met up with Allen and Jane for tea in a very quaint old Pub the Stags Head in Doddington. They took us on a little tour through Wellingborough on the way ...

We have been kindly lent a car by my Dads cousin so we can travel a round and sight see a little, very generous. We took advantage of this and went to Salcey Forrest south of Northampton. It is a beautiful Forrest with lots of walks, great paths, easy access making it a fabulous place for all the family, even the dog! Auntie Pauline came with us and we had an enjoyable cuppa before setting off on the walk. Dad couldn't walk too far so Mum and him did what he could while auntie ...

We strolled around the town, little alley ways here and there, sagging roof lines and oddly designed attics. It also has all the major shops and amenities required, if I lived in England this town would appeal to me as a place to live. After two hours we walked back to the car and drove to another part ...

We had a lovely day, fantastic weather, warm and sunny, about 22 degrees. We walked down into town and did a little shopping and then back home and Mum and Dad had a little catchup sleep. Auntie Pauline and I then went for a walk around the area that she lives in and she showed me the place Dad lived for a while. There was a lovely park called the race course that we walked around. Mum and Dad got up when we got back and we sat out the back in the sun. Lovely just sitting around chatting ...

Hi! Well having rested up following the tour we got back to the office on Monday morning to find the following article and photos that had appeared in the local Ilmenau paper. The translation is unfortunately a bit "google!" So we have adapted bits here and there, but hopefully you should get the gist of what was written about our first concert! The photos are quite close up and we vaguely remember thinking at the time that the was a photographer wandering ...
