... been Cetti’s Warbler but the bird only called once and wasn’t convincing and even though we dropped down the bank to get out of the breeze so we could hear better we didn’t locate it. Of more immediate interest was a mammal that was moving in vegetation on the far side of the pool and on examination through the binoculars this was seen to be a Muntjac deer with two fawns. It was far enough away from us to be mainly unconcerned by our presence.
