Night Train Nightmare
Carted all our purchases to the post office for the 3rd package home in 2 months! In our defence... Actually I can't think of anything to say in our defence. We've bought some stuff. Geez. Popped into the train station to reserve our seats for the train to Krakow tonight and then spent our day having a wander around the lovely Budapest. There is still so much to see here but we have to get going... We're due in Kiev at the end ...
I Hate Caving
... back, grabbed the camera and very slowly walked to the river (via the Christmas Markets) to take some night shots of the Chain Bridge and the awesome view of Buda from the Pest side. It was painful and slow but I was rapt to get some good shots along the river! Now for the ridiculously slow walk back to the hostel and up those damned stairs. God knows why I didn't just take the elevator. Stupid ...
Murder in the Dark
... we even bought a few things to send home. (Of course). Finally got some laundry done too... Only about a week overdue!! Eww. (The rhyming was an accident). Then popped into a pub for some tea on our way back... Well what a find! Probably the best meal we've had in a month... Just delicious and wintery and homey! I can't even think about it without feeling hungry. Last on our list for today.... The Murder Exhibition. We'd decided to do the 11pm ...
Fishy Feet
... really really fun but I was still glad to be back on the surface and the chanting of 'Beaconsfield Miners, Beaconsfield Miners, Beaconsfield Miners' immediately left my mind so that was good too. Headed back into the city and straight to the pub for a beer with a few from our group. A drink turned into dinner. Dinner turned into 'do you want to go to Instant?' But we just couldn't do it... We were well and truly in need of showers and we were buggered!! Tomorrow is another ...
