    ... to snuff. In most cases, your guide can remedy the situation. Tours generate a lot of revenue for hotels and restaurants, as they are used again and again by the tour operator, so they have a vested interest in your satisfaction. It's okay to speak up, but pick your battles wisely, don't be a whiner and don't get too attached to the outcome. Not all your experiences can be amazing and the worst often make the best stories later on!

    ... so I ended up paying a small fortune for a hotel room near Club Mahindra (the hotel where we spent the first 3 nights) that was still on the beach and close to the train station.

    When we arrived at Zuri Whitesands Resort and Casino, we were greeted with a mocktail, a scented cold hand towel, and seated while the front desk checked us in.     ... the heat, as we watched another beautiful sunset! We headed back to swim at the longest swimming pool in Goa. Our room opens up the swimming pool, yet another amazing part of our stay!
