Ozark Film and Oak Ridge Boys

10/6 Day 107 Today we continued in Branson. We started out with another treatment from the mini massage salesperson, it seemed to help a little for me and makes Peg's feet and legs feel better. We will probably go back and get it to see long term what it can do. From there we took off on a route out in the country. There is a loop that takes you out of town at one end and brings you back at the other end. Branson has their primary roads marked as yellow, red, green, or blue as well as ...

10/5 Day 106 We are still staying at Americas Best Campground in Branson. Today we got tickets to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede for tonight and the Oak Ridge Boys for tomorrow. After getting the tickets at the campground office we drove around Branson for a while checking out all the theaters and eateries. We had lunch at MacFarlain’s Family Restaurant a real nice local place. We both had the fried catfish which was delicious. Peg also had the fried ...

Cloudy, dark day with temperatures only reaching the low 60's.  I have enjoyed not moving my RV the last three days but today it was time to travel west.  My first stop was a local shopping center with a grocery store, laundromat, and bakery all in one strip... most convenient.   Thorncrown Chapel is a beautiful building in the middle of the Ozark woodlands.  The ...

          Walking Eureka Springs

Caught the 10:30 tram into Eureka Springs and headed to the Mud Street Expresso Café for breakfast – a comfortable little cellar with self-serve coffee, great omelets and garlic-infused grits.   I spent the afternoon exploring Eureka Springs on three more of the walking tours.  Each of the tours took me past Victorian ...

          The City that Water Built

At one time there were 42 springs, thought to be medicinal, located within the city limits of Eureka Springs. People came to drink the water and to appreciate the beautiful mountain scenery.  Today I explored parts of the city.  Took the blue route tram to the train station for a ride on the Eureka Springs & North Arkansas Railway in a 1940's diesel engine and a ...
