    ... during the winter season but also boasts year round hiking and biking trails.

    It was also the perfect setting for a very special occasion being celebrated that day - Carol and Graham's 45th Wedding Anniversary!!!

    And so we were all pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our wooden hotel that it had the word ‘spa’ in the title! SPA?! I thought we were backpacking?! Oh ...

    ... a bit of trouble herself getting her ski on. There was too much snow on mums boot so she couldn't get her ski on! After about ten minutes we were all safely down the mountain.���ᘳ 5; After that catastrophe, we went to pick up Ted from ski school and had a few more runs then went home. I was really happy when I got home. I was exhausted!! This was a good achievement/challenge and let's hope for a smoother day tomorrow! ...

    Back at Tahoe City for some cycling along the Truckee River. The trail was nicely paved and marked which made the 1.5hr ride much easier.

    ... s color and clarity to the fact that no rivers run into or out of it, as well as to the fact that it's situated far from all pollutants. We travelled through forests until we reached the California State line, when the landscape got progressively drier and less wooded until we found ourselves in semi dessert.     ... the last minute gave the more difficult slope a try and did great. Ben again wanted to be on his own but Lucy stepped up and while not with Ben we hung around Shirley all morning before taking the Mountain Run down to Le Chamois again. I thought we were done as did Kara, but Lu, Ben and I headed out for another hour and a half. We had a blast. One of Lu’s conditions was to take the tram back down and that was fun to do that ...
