... for transport that would take us to the base camp (from where we start walking towards the base village of the fort). We didn’t quite remember the name of the base camp. Upon enquiring, an auto rickshaw driver told us that Kondavane village was the one from where we had to start walking. Bingo…we hired him and headed for the base camp. ... and try the old "Oh damn, we missed the alarm" trick was very high but somehow managed to fight it. The tour took us to Victoria Terminus Station, Crawford fruit and veg market, and then down a dark alleyway where the guy asked “any of you vegetarians?” On us replying no, he took us into the meat market building (remarkably like Infernos on a Saturday night, smelt a bit better).
