... earth - not even for a moment. 3 months after a child is born relatives and neighbours of the family are invited to attend a grand ceremony, Tigang Sasih, the 'Three Month Ceremony’. The ceremony is performed by a priest who, after purifying both parents and infant, re-introduces the child to this world as it is believed that the child is the reincarnation of an ancestor. ... and some other side dishes. I was thinking of my dad who would really love this dish!

As for refreshments, instead of a pub, Pak Ketut brought us to Kuta Beach to have a taste of their very own arak madu. It contains 40% alcohol and no joke, I was totally flushed after 3 sips. Nevertheless we enjoyed the cool sea breeze that night and it was a great night to end our last night in Bali!

... as we didn't want to drive in the dark over here. We dropped the car keys back with the concierge and headed to the Beach bar for a couple of happy hour drinks. Returning to our room we were both feeling pretty lazy after our TWO whole days of actually doing something again so we lazed on the bed and watched a film. At about 8pm decided we would stay in for the first evening on this trip and just ordered room service and watched more movies! A great way to end a busy day! ...

... satay skewers like I have not eaten in days and of course I have positioned myself within arms reach of the food! Everyman for themselves when you are competing for your food with 50 others. Sometimes selfishness is key when travelling ;) Anyway the climb! Mt Batur was beautiful, the sunrise or should I say the thick fog at 6:20am was unreal after a 2:30am wake up alarm.. Haha nah the fog cleared just after sunrise to allow for some nice photos on the camera I have borrowed off ...

... coming out and charging extortionate prices to be paddled 15 minute around the corner. I guess they have to make their money but it was laughable the prices and additional charges they demanding (not asking). The system was comic and is definitely worth a mention. You have to report to a 'guy' sitting at a desk on the waterfront (I say 'a' guy because there was no way of telling him from Adam). He then states a small fortune for admission as well as ...
