A controlled (?!) burn
... we both go to the farm to burn off the rubbish that I have cleared the last few days. We also decide to have a controlled burn on another piece of land that we would like to plant up. Everything is very dry and the flames leap up to 20ft+ and it is a bit scary for while as I pictured the fire raging across the dry rice fields and into the woodland. ... Phon Thong had come to talk about the payments and it may be back on. Jai disappeared for a couple of hours but was none the wiser when she got back !!! This must be about the sixth time she has gone to see some official and presented paperwork etc for the farm and they are still dithering. Makes you wonder if it worth the effort.
Typical afternoon of me reading and Jai making mats until its time to go out the farm ...

... at Saracens. Will watch the game sometime anyway but it is not the same when you know the result.
We bike out along the Selaphum road and spot the electirc office after about 5km. Only takes about 5mins to pay the bill and we are heading back into Phon Thong. I cant believe that anything here can be that easy ?! Do a bit of shopping then back to Khamnadie.

Our electric bill arrived in our absence but no-one couldbe bothered to pay it for us so we now have to visit the electric company offices somewhere near Phon Thong to settleup on Monday. No doubt that will be a fun packed couple of hours.
I give the garden a drink then out to the farm to cheer up the trees. They are all looking good and I wont need to be so regular with the watering from now on. ...
