We have structured our trip around seeing some of the things that us adults have wanted to see for a long time but also expecting that some of these interests won't be as attractive to the kids. So we decided to incorporate a stop in at the theme parks on the Gold Coast early in the trip even though we were here in November 2012. The biggest experience of this trip was staying in a hostel. Not going to lie, it felt a LOT like being back in the freshman dorms for college. It was definitely much nicer than expected...until I learned I was sharing a bathroom with boys. It's been a while since my brother and I have ...

... cheeky ways. We saw an abundance of wildlife, including dolphins, fish, manta rays and a shark. Well we couldn't see the shark ourselves, but the hovering helicopter and two lifesavers herding something away on their jet ski's were a dead giveaway! New Years was brought in with seven bottles of red wine, with the hangover to match, but nothing the world's best fish and chips couldn't cure. It was very sad to see this week end!! But lots more to look forward ...
