Emolahti Camping Pyhajarvi, sadly with out internet as probably the only 'internet white spot' in Finland. Anyway several hundred kilometres south of Rovaniemi and about 200km short of Jyvaskyla where today we plan to call in to see Gwyneth, Timo and Johannes. Gwyneth was the first student from Rolle Faculty of Education, University of Plymouth to travel to Rovaniemi with me many years ago when we enjoyed a first trek with the University ...

So it's been a couple of weeks since I last reported on anything. That's probably due to the fact that I spent last weekend in Tallinn exploring the delights of the Old Town - I've covered that in another blog so I don't want to go over it again here.

There is also a Natural History Musuem in here but it was a few euros to get in and from the outside it appeared to all be ...

... It's either free and good, or costs a bit and definitely worth it. Especially if it is your kind of thing.

B - If you are really into this then give if it a go and you'll love it. If not then its still pretty good to do, but definitely not on the "cannot be missed"

C - Meh. If you've got nothing else to do then might as well. Not great but not the worst thing in the world

D - Don't bother. Just not worth it

    Fighting boredom

... ve had a good time. Getting away from home makes this feel more like vacation, and that's exactly what I wanted.

Next trip? Perhaps a quick visit to Helsinki during the weekend...

(Oh, note to self: Never use for booking hotels in Finland. I did not know that none of my bonus cards are accepted if the site has been used for the booking. S-bonus points only available through booking via the hotel's own ...
