The Mount Irving Bay beach looked inviting, as did another one a mile or so further up the road. But they were also deserted and we had been cautioned about using a beach area of that description (the forces of evil, don't you know.) Eventually we came upon one just outside Plymouth that seemed to be what we were looking for. It may have been Arnos Vale beach, then again maybe it wasn't.

... staff at the hotel could not recommend him, Elvis Jack proved to be a most knowledgeable, accommodating and enthusiastic guide. Our family, especially the kids, just adored him.

If you were trying to describe the perfect tropical beach, Pigeon Point would fit the bill to a tee. On the windward, or east side, wind surfers and parasailers are in their glory as steady trade winds propel them at remarkable speeds over sand and coral shoals lying beneath the amazing turquoise sea.
