We're Back....

The next day we pack up and head up the mountain to over 9800 feet across the Great Divide and start heading east. We have cut the trip short by three months. We won’t get to see the rest of the west and we are both sorely disappointed. The only thing that I can think about now is getting home.

Along the way we have problems with the water pump (a sealer on the going home deal!). It takes us about another six days to limp home. I am still feeling the effects ...

... on my All Blacks' jersey [hey, they are the champs]. Solo to the mv. Not too much snow around the car.

An hour later I was home, greeted by my mom, bro Gary down for a visit and little Tabu.

Some final points. The birthday number? 59 years young. Tabu, Jools Baby, is my parents' now nine year old Siamese cat. He does like his pea meal bacon in the morning. Never did try the mauby, perhaps a reflection on a less than successful trip.

... would compliment our bright orange shirts (as it was yellow with a big smiley-face) I made James grab it out of the tree, and it was our companion for the rest of the day. We called it Steve.
We finished all our leaflets quite quickly and were heading back to grab some lunch when we had a car accident. Thankfully it wasn't super serious and no one was badly hurt, but they called all three emergency services ...

... rink just out in the open. It's used for for rollerblading in the summer and ice-skating in the winter! We saw this group of elderly people doing zumba-style dancing which was quite amusing. I surreptitiously pretended to take photos in the other direction so that the others could sneakily watch them without being too obvious.
