We used the SuperShuttle as our ground transportation from the airport to our accommodations - the Argonaut Hotel Fisherman’s Wharf. At a cost of $17/person, it is a pretty efficient way to get from the airport….and we were the 2nd ones ...

Hostel living is normally not the most appealing but the one we stayed at in Fort Mason was in such a fantastic location nestled looking out at the bay with views of the bridge that we were instantly happy with out choice. The San Fran locals are fairly lucky and as one put it: “San Frans a bit like a New York meets California” and who in there right mind wouldn’t want to go there?! ...

Most of the city is a great place to ride as it's pretty flat, especially around the bay itself, though as you've seen in many movies about San Francisco, the further inland you get the more mountainous the hills become. Thankfully though it was a magical winter's day, with warm weather and sunny blue skies, so it was an amazing day for cycling.
