So after leaving the Badlands we head south to a National Park that arguably has to be the most spectacular place in the Canadian Rockies. Waterton Lakes includes old-growth forest, wind-swept prairies, ancient glaciers and deep, cold lakes. Bison, elk, mule deer, wolves, black bear, grizzly and mountain lions all co-exist in this park, which also shares a common goal of preservation with their cousins to the south, in Glacier National Park in Montana, ...

... into the US. We saw several signs indicating that the crossing had limited hours. At the crossing we asked the border guard what happens after hours? He said "We turn the bears loose". Ummm… okay.
