... ran to be first in the new other words, we all had self-preservation on our minds. All sense of manners pretty much disappeared along with our hopes of getting to Peru before Friday.

We eventually got our hotel vouchers but then there was the wait for the hotel shuttle, and then the wait to check in with the poor, overloaded desk staff. We finally got to a room shortly after 4am. We took a couple valium to ease our pain and promptly passed out.

... to make the call, work out how to use the phone and after a couple of attempts and a visit to the info desk to find out I had to add a 1 to the beginning of the number I finally got through, and they told me they would send the driver straight away and where to meet him.
