I was very unimpressed with Fisherman's Wharf. It is very, very touristy - huge restaurants but no little cafes. Pip said it reminded her of Darling Harbour but I think it is worse. The only thing of interest was the huge seagulls - bigger than any I have ever seen elsewhere. Maybe there is truth in Americans believing everything is bigger in the States!

... town, nipping in and out of the little boutique shops. I bought a couple of pairs of cheap leggings, as I seem to be living in them at the moment. We stopped for lunch in a gourmet sandwich shop and it was definitely gourmet compared to our usual subway!
