... a window seat for noon flight. Was told to write into "customer care" but no way to address the stranding of nearly 300 passengers at midnight, tired and hungry tonight! It's a political and economic thing for United to send crew to Germany rather than Argentina with aneconomy in the wane. Several passengers agreed with my theory. ... out to Oakland to visit "Oracle Arena". Golden state warriors play NBA here. Unfortunately it was all closed up and the security advised they don't conduct tours there.
The arena was right next to the sports arena that Oakland Athletes and Oakland Raiders play.

... with most being 500 -600 years old and some 1000 years old. A very pristine and wonderful place to spend a couple of hours.

Came back to a sea side village named Sausalito for 1 1/2 hours then onto the Bay ferry for trip back to city. The fog rolled in causing the ferry to crawl whilst sounding the horn, Back at the terminal grabbed a meal and then caught the Muni train back to our B& B, arriving about 8 pm. So a full day.

Saturday Day 10, 9th August 2014: Crisp mountain air, but bright sunshine as we leave Bass Lake at 8am, travelling to Yosemite National Park which is 12,000 square miles, has 4 entrances; we are going in the South and coming out the west and will be climbing to 4000ft.
