First time learning snowboarding at Davos, what!
While visiting family in Stuttgart, Germany, a friend of mine suggested we go snowboarding in Davos, Switzerland. What better place to learn snowboarding for the first time, the Swiss Alps! A ski town, clearly. Also a charming town. I embarked for my first lesson of snowboarding - after I take in the breathtaking view of the mountains.

Stranded in St Moritz
... and pavements. It was like climbing over mountains at times.
I had the normal Swiss breakfast which seems to consist of bread, rolls and cold meats and cheese. One thing they seem to offer for the bread is chocolate spread but they never seem to have butter!! Do the Swiss not eat such things as butter??
After breakfast I went outside to see the surrounding area. A group of poor little ducks seemed to be rather lost ...
Sunshine and snow in the Alps

After a few more photos from the cliff edge I finally decided it’s time to make tracks and so I boarded the car back down to base station at Andermatt. Stepping out of the cable car the warm temperature suddenly hits you. It’s not really that warm but being use to the cold at the top makes it seem warm back here at base.

Chur and the train trip to Morges
... side. Now a race against time it's 11:49 - check out for the hotel is 12noon and the train goes to Morges at 12:16. We get to the hotel at 12:01 get our bags and board the train at 12:15 - now that is to the minute timing! We have to make a change at Zurich and Camille had only downloaded up to the 12.09 train, so with a bit of guess work using the previous train times, we managed to make the connection with about 8 minutes to spare! We're getting good at ...
Not much in Lichtenstein
... noodles and reading my book for quite some time before going for a walk through the town. Memmingen is a gorgeous place with a beautiful old town with a little stream running through it and lots of old colourful buildings.
