It was suffering from poverty so they decided to compensate for its isolation in a little pocket of Italy near Switzerland by making it a tax free zone. braai. Not to be since the moment the sun went behind the mountain the
temperature dropped below anything that is possible to braai in. The braai was
cancelled and we moved across to Stef’s house for an excellent cooked supper
prepared by Stef and Jan. A bottle of wine later we headed back to camp for a
good night's sleep.

... were able to warm up with a pot of Peppermint Tea and a bowl of tomato
soup. Awesome………… Bad luck though, we still needed to walk another 14 odd kms
to reach the village of Spinas where we boarded the train for home.

All in all a 24km walk that took us all of 8 and a half
hours, two blisters and sore legs made it a day to remember.

Needless to say it wasn’t too difficult to get to sleep that
evening.
