This week the first wintery Cold front passed true Switzerland and dumped up 70 cm show in some Areas. Beautiful Sunshine after the front passing made me saddle my Bike and cycling up to the Schwägalp , The Road up the Pass was mostly snow free but descending form the Pass was rather difficult and freezing coooooold. ... in the delightful village of Celerina. We ate traditional capuns (a speciality of the area) and venison cooked with fruit which was delicious and also a local specialty. A perfect meal to end this lovely day.
From Celerina we drove past St. Moritz.... did a short hike through a park near Silvaplana spotting snow capped peaks in the distance.

Quick entry to reflect a lunch stop in Liechtenstein. This tiny country is most famous for selling postage stamps, and the fact that almost every European tour operator includes a few minutes here so they can boast of another country visited. Now that I think about it, maybe that 's what we did :-)

In the thick of the forest, on the side of the street, we saw a large stainless steel door embedded in to a rock face. Marcello later told us that the door was the entry to a 1000 bed hospital built back into the the mountain and fully equipped to manage any situation which might arise. Incredible and so unassuming!
