The accommodation for everybody on board starts on C deck and as your status increases, so too does your deck letter with the Captain and Chief Engineer sharing G deck. (Loaded as we are, no cabins from C to G have a view forward or aft.) ... rest of the afternoon on deck and watched the riggers strike the sails. (I learned that it is called "strike the sails" when they take them away.)

After dinner we went to the lido bar where we enjoyed the performance of the "Sea Cloud Shanties". The crew dressed up and sang sea shanties in English, German and Filipino. It was a lot of fun.

Ahhh Crete. One of the many fantastic places I have been wanting to visit during my time here in Greece. My journey began with a ten hour ferry ride from Peiraeus to Heraklion (Athens to Crete). Apparently there was some confusion about our tickets and we were supposed to have cabins but ended up having to stay in the dining area instead.
